Luxury Sukabumi Pool & Custom Lavastone Coping – Byron Bay
About This Project
This exceptional private residence in Byron Bay showcases one of the most prestigious swimming pool projects supplied by Direct Pool Tiles. Designed to capture the atmosphere of a luxury Balinese resort, the project combines premium 100×100 Sukabumi natural stone with our custom-manufactured Lavastone pool coping to create a timeless and elegant outdoor sanctuary.
The owners wanted the water to display the distinctive emerald and turquoise tones that have made Sukabumi natural stone one of the world’s most sought-after premium pool finishes. The result is a tranquil swimming pool that changes beautifully throughout the day as natural sunlight reflects across the stone and water.
A defining feature of this project is the custom Lavastone coping, manufactured specifically for the pool. The client selected a rounded bullnose edge profile, providing a softer, resort-style finish that complements the tropical landscape and relaxed architectural design. We can also manufacture Lavastone coping with a square edge profile for contemporary homes seeking a cleaner architectural appearance.
Sukabumi natural stone is valued not only for its luxurious appearance but also for its naturally occurring mineral composition, which helps maintain exceptional water clarity while remaining highly durable in Australian conditions. Combined with custom Lavastone edging, the finished result delivers a sophisticated, high-end pool designed to perform beautifully for decades.
This project demonstrates how carefully selected natural materials and custom detailing can transform a residential swimming pool into a genuine five-star resort experience.
